I bought the first movie back when it came out in the late 90's, I think....I just bought the sequel. Dungeons and Dragons: Wrath of the Dragon God. I love both of these films. Anybody else seen them? If so, do you play D&D?...not the computer RPG, the real thing. I used to, but, all my friends moved away, so I don't have anyone to play with....plus, my books got destroyed when my garage flooded. I still have all my dice, though

If you like RPGs, then you should see these films. Characters based on stats (strength, intelligence, wisdom, dexterity, etc.), and alignment (lawful-good, chaotic-good, lawful-evil, chaotic-evil, etc.)....Elves, dwarves, humans, dragons....it's awesome.

I've never played any real RPGs before because none of my friends would ever want to I dont think I would ever want to either, but I do like Starwars KOTOR 1 & 2 and also Jade Empire for the XBox and both of them use the same format as D&D so who knows maybe I would like it.

D&D is alot more complicated than those games....more complicated than the D&D computer games, like Neverwinter Nights and all that. Just remember, there would be no RPGs, ORPGs, or MMORPGs if it wasn't for D&D, which is still the most fun, imo. You have to have friends with you to play, and you only use your imagination...no computers. It's awesome. The fact that the game itself is sooooooo huge, and so many books have been written based on it, it's no wonder that movies have been made. There was even a cartoon show back in the 80s....it was dorky, though, if I remember correctly....sheesh, I'm old.

I remember a campaign with about 10 people I played when I was 5ish I had about 3-4 rings of wishing stock piled and everyone kept trying to kill me, unaware that I'd used one of the rings once to wish for immortality, I was a pwnage char rofl and I was a Hobbit Rogue too:P

"Wish" is not a spell to use lightly....any decent Dungeon Master (DM) would never have allowed your character to own those. Every DM I've ever played with who alloowed a Wish spell, would always find a way to make it come back on you...like, "I wish for my enemies to be dead", would cause your enemies to turn undead, and more powerful, thus, your wish was wasted. You had to word your wishes very carefully.
I remember one time, me and my friends were playing a campaign, and someone aquired a "wish" from a diety. Well, we were trudging through some heavy brush, and the guy who got the "wish" accidentally said "Man, I wish these trees weren't here". The DM then made the trees dissapear, exposing every single monster in the forest, and they all attacked...we barely survived his stupidity. Ahhhh...those were fun times indeed.

hehehe, well, when the DM is your brother, and he's laughing it up that his friends can't beat his 5-6 year old brother, he'll let it happen:P
