What do you guys think about them? About buying items with them?
Personally, I think that items should cost less medals with some gold.

Well, I don't like it. You can't get Fire Gems anymore, so it's useless to use it unless you farm endlessly all day.

I agree, 75 defender medals for some items is way too much.

Defenders Medals aren't too bad... war waves seem to be pretty quick. Though going through all the Guardian Armour quests had me SERIOUSLY wondering how some people can get the thousands of them needed to max out all that Defender Equipment. I think I liked war waves better BEFORE I hit the level cap.
But yeah, we've actually tried to make the case that we have so many "alternate currencies" (Dragon Coins, PvP trophies, Defender Medals, Azhite Ore, Moonglow, etc...) that it would be nice if there wa ssome decent equipment that costs GOLD for a change... ;-)

No one I know of personally, but I'm sure somebody does... like the scary-dedicated people who farmed the 20,000 gold in one day for the initial release of the Doom Weapons back in beta.

I personally don't mind all the different forms of currency. Bandit Camp and all of the different item-drops throughout the game which you can sell for gold, makes it pretty easy to save up a large sum of gold.
