Yeah, I went through and modified a bunch of posts. If you noticed your post has been changed to say "I have nothing productive to say at this time", that means your post said nothing more than "lol" or something of that nature.

but the thing they were trying to do is spam posts to raise their post counts with nothing to say. But just changing it to that still gives them the post count doesn't it and therefore they wont care what you make them say as long as they are that much closer to raising in rank

The thing is, when you spam like that, people smite you. So, to deter a smiting war, I have decided to do things this way. This way, people won't be getting upset by having negative karma, and they'll learn not to make useless posts. The Rules To Abide By thread states that EXCESSIVE spamming will be deleted or modified. For now, there aren't enough members to resort to banning. You guys can smite or exalt, and that makes it easier on us. If someone is cheating to get a higher rank in post counts, trust me, I'm aware of it....and I can modify anyone's post counts to the accurate amount. I don't like having to do that though. The best thing to do right now is just ignore it. But, I think the problem has been resolved for now. One of the main reasons I started these boards was to get away from all the massive amounts of forum rules....I don't want to have to keep adding new rules....we'll end up like AQ. What I'm getting at is, I want everyone to be happy here. If you don't like someone's post, then smite them for it. But first, if you have the courage, PM the person who is bothering you, and POLITELY ask them to stop. If they don't, then smite away.....please don't go on any smiting sprees...it's causing discord. If the smiting war continues, I will disable the karma all together, and go on a deleting spree. P.S. I would hope that everyone is mature enough to NOT worry about somone else's forum rank. Jealousy over something like that is childish.
