The thing I loved about AQ was how little time it took to get in and out of the game.... Hop on for a bit each day, do a quest or a few RAs, then buy the rewards for the biweekly event with the money you got from your 3 or 4 waves you did.

Now look at this, if you wan't to get anywhere you have to grind, grind, grind non-stop for hours every day. It's near impossible for the average person to buy up the war rewards and added items without grinding hard or selling everything they own each week. We have 4 uber sets and an epic set... those will set you back 9m, and with a tiny cash income and new stuff to buy every week that is near impossible. I loved the days when it was just the Nightmare Set and most other items cost around 10k. The thing that really bothered me was that our gifts this year cost over 200k. Imagine Christmas with that kind of logic...

Son: wow, thanks.
Dad: Now, you have to do 3 hours of mindless grinding for 2 weeks before you can get it though.
Son: But-
Dada: Get to it! No time to waste!

I Just don't feel like dedicating my life to this game trying to keep up....

Are you kidding? AQ has not been lunch-break sized at *least* since I started playing over 2 years ago. You're a bit behind to be making that call now.

the gift boxes were priced VERY fairly and require very little effort to obtain. You can, in fact, earn the entire Lvl 90 set (one weapon, armor, shield, pet, spell, and misc) for only 21 days of work, provided you average around 12k a day. Which, at Lvl 90? That's chicken feed. I averaged nearly 50k a day without even farming in my prime.

I don't farm... I stop in and check out the updates and occasionally do a few RAs... You know, about a Lunch Break worth of time.

Though if you're seeking a finger to point, please by all means point them at me as I priced this year's giftboxes. Oh, and fyi? The original prices of the Lvl 90 set would've been more than what I priced it out as. I gave you a *discount* from the originally planned prices.

You reallllly seem to be stuck on gift boxes. Did you cause everything to be unobtainable for the casual player as well? Normally I don't point but if you caused all this...

The rest of your argument is loaded with excessive comparisons so I won't bother addressing them. The fact of the matter is, really? A majority of people had absolutely NO issue with this and still don't. It's mostly just a handful of people who rustle up anger with threads like this, filled with overdramatizations and other hogwash.

Majorities of people are kids with nothing else to do but play AQ... And the handful who do say something get thier threads locked or flamed by snobby people who refuse to consider the other person's point of view.

As this thread boils down to little beyond a complaint thread, which are not permitted, it is now locked.

Complaints aren't allowed? Wow. Thats kind of... well ... communist. Eep, the reason I started playing this game was because of how much player input goes into it. This is just kind of sad really. The game designers don't care about their customers opinions any more. Oh well, they got my $60, what more do they need me for.

I agree with you all the way Rob. I only stop in to AQ now to see what's going on. Last time I played, I was trying to do that quest where you have to find all the different things and return them to that wizard on that island. I did the quest for the list of items, then I started searching for the actual items throughout the game. I accidentally got logged off, so I logged back in and started the search for the items again...got them all after about 3 hours of playing...then I went back to the island, and I had to search for the list again, which cleared all the things I had already gotten...I was pissed, so I haven't played since. Man, all the time and trouble I went through for that one quest, just to have to do it all over again because of their crappy programming just turned me off completely....that, and the overpriced gift items. I'm with you...how can it be a gift if you can't do anything else but farm for hours and hours. That mod said it himself....farm 12,000 gold for 21 days and you'd have enough for all of them....that's bullshit, because there are other things available in the game which require gold and with pricetags like that, you'd lose all the gold on seasonal rares for anything of real long-term value.

I completely Agree. Thats why I went back into DF. When they First mentioned "Lunch-break Sized" I was like "Hey, Lemme try this out" Just about 3 years ago. Now As I've watched it grow, it became more of a "Hey, need this item, farm hours on end, to get it. Muwahahahah." They dont take our, the customers, input when needed most, ya sometimes, on minor issues ,but when the world complain they dis-regard it completely. Im so sick of the AQ squad. And again, this is a Flash game, why are they making it difficult, to earn items, And Maybe its not required to have these items, but, what kinda battles would a level, say 70, win? We wanna enjoy the game, not get tired of it. I payed good money to see what they had in-store for us. So far, Im not very content.

Between DF, MQ, Mythwar, Gaia, Myspace, Gears of War Online, Assassin's Creed, and Halo 3 Online, and My Pregnant Girlfriend, I dont see me doing much on
AQ at all, well besides slightly viewing updates.

Unless they make a drastic change to the public eye. Then I'll Think about it.

Yay we know have dumbass who never played who are rich buying z tokens, why the hell do we need dedicated players. Hell lets make teh uber gifts worth 21 days of grinding without them being to buy anything else, i mean that makes perfect sence right?

anyway im off aq. gettign the occasional rare or 2 will be ok, but eh not much more then that
