We need to come together on ideas. We need to figure out a way to recruit members to our forums without getting banned over at AQ. They are now watching our PMs to make sure we aren't promoting our Fan Forum to other people. They made it a big announcement. I've also noticed that our member growth has come to a complete halt, whereas before, we were gaining new members every day.
I've submitted our Message Board into the Yahoo and Google search engines, but...it'll take a while before it will actually show up when people do a relevant search.
I need all you guys to start throwing out some ideas for recruiting members, that doesn't get anyone banned over at AQ.
Post your ideas here.

We could always just contact them through email.

a bit of a problem if they don't show their emails, and why send emails to someone when they'll most likely just delete it or something?

Can we create lots of fake names on the AQ boards and post in all the catergories telling people they can find spoilers here. People are bound to see them before they get pwned by the modbots

problem: when they ban someone, they not only ban the forum account, but the IP that they logged in from, they can't even access the forums, now, if you did this somewhere's like a public library, it'd work

Is it to make some sections invisible to non members so that you would have to register to see it? Cuz if so we could do that for the spoilers section so that if a mod comes and looks at the forums they only see discussions and nothing against the rules

You can't PM to recruit people to alternate forums over there, period. No matter if the forum has spoilers or not.
I'm thinking that we might be able to get away with e-mailing. Like: if you see someone asking a question about something, PM them saying "Send me your e-mail adress and I'll give you some cool information about the game"....then when they PM you back with their e-mail adress, send them an e-mail with the link to our boards here.
