Yea, I've been playing this game a bit. I've made 2 characters.
The first was a total waste, I went with a warrior/hybrid character similar to my AQ character. I blew all his money on weapons, armors, and spells.
Then I took what I learned from him and made a new, super duper killing machine. Its very simple:
Levels 1-5
Use your basic stuff. Don't waste money on anything.
Level 5-30
At level 5 you will need 300 gold. Purchase:
Avalanche Slide (Spell)
Dimensional (Shield)
Daimyo (Pet)
With this set up, Daimyo will heal you 5 mp 66% of the time. Avalanche Slide costs 3 mp so you should never run out. Although Avalanche Slide hits with many different elements, the damage done will nearly always outnumber the amount the monster healed. Trust me.
At level 15 buy Whirl Tide for 400gp. Use that if the monster has high magic defense or many negative resistances.
At level 25 buy Flower Armor (If you're manly enough). Use that for your spell casting as long as the monster attacks with Light, Earth, Wind and/or Water. Otherwise use your default armor.
30-40
Buy:
Heal Scratches
Zardbane
FrogZard Shield
Summon Pixie
Now things get really fun, harder monsters start to show up. This is the only time I will tell you to blow all your money, simply because this is the last time you need to spend it. Raise your INT to about 50 and DEX to about 40. Raise it more later if you want. END isn't needed because the monsters hit low and you will have plenty of healing. Getting it to about 10-20 is cheap so maybe do that if you can swing it.
Summon Pixie at the start of each log in, use the same strategy as you did before, but use the FrogZard Shield if the monster doesn't attack with darkness. If you run low on mana (Which is very rare since you can heal after every fight) switch to Zardbane/Breakneck Robes and whack away. Don't worry about your low strength, you're just waiting for Daimyo to heal you enough to cast more spells. You're DEX will make sure you at least hit. Use Heal Scratches when low on HP. You should have about 400 mana, and since the most you will ever use in one turn is 35 (Pixie+Heal Scratches) it should last.
They recently added monsters that aren't Zards to the game, just use your spells and don't be shy with Heal Scratches. Daimyo will do fine with the damage output, so you're still pretty unbeatable.
40+
(NOTE: I'm not at this stage yet, but I don't see why it should change. You might have to flee from a few fights...but thats about it.)
Keep stockpiling your moneys and buy Golden Plate (HUAAH!!). at this point you'll be pretty much un-beatable, so try out weapons and armors that are rare. Raise your stats, and remember that you can always fall back to your old mana-dumping technique
