I upgraded, and got the 2000 Nova Gems on all my character slots. Then, I went to the Star captain place, and bought the lvl 5 Kurosawa Mech....it's awesome. I didn't need to buy any other weapons, because it comes with some of the most powerful stuff already, so I sold all my other weapons.
Then, I went and did the Mecha-roni pizza quest, and got through all the way....the special battle Order #66 is excellent farming. 50 exp and 300 Credits every time. I'll be buying the Mecha-roni Mech pretty soon just from farming that, and I'll probably reach the level cap rather soon as well. This game is so easy if you're a Star Captain.
