Lich's were created in D&D (Dungeons and Dragons) decades ago. Pretty much, they are an undead mage...really, more like a powerful wizard who's soul is tied to his body, even after he dies. This is usually derived from extreme intelligence and evil...an evil wizard who refuses to die by natural means, becoming even more powerful by weilding the power of death and evil magic at his fingertips en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lich <--- Check that link for more info. |

First time I heard of "Lich" was in Final Fantasy I.
