The Only thing that is keeping me from becoming mod is the Contests.
As LoH said:
Do you want to be a mere mod with extremely limited powers confined to only one board, or do you want to be the most kick-ass member of this forum? Think it over.I really want some more details about the power I get.....
After I win the New Years contest and test out modding I will decide wheater to do it full time.
Soundslikematt
Yeah we know its under discussion between the mods right now so we'll all come to an agreement after the new years contest
RobertM
I want to edit posts like Aquadorian does.
~|Actually the 5 BTH puts Power Katana behind SkyScorcher(90)|~
Insert Edit War
Robertm
I would laugh at another time but I'm really into this.
(I laughed a little)
In EC I will only edit when I need to.....maybey....
Soundslikematt
Yeah editing other peoples posts is forbidden. I was gonna switch it back anyways =P
Sure you were ;-)
Wait, What do you mean "Forbidden"?
Soundslikematt
Dont make me go Mod-shit on yo ass boy!
Robertm
No really, I want to know everything I can about being a mod before I decide to permanantly become one.
Soundslikematt
ok what do you need to know? You would be the mod of the Battleon Forums? we mods aren't really held responsible for much since we're not big. Blaze and I try to read every post and stay active. Blasting spam and moving things to where they need to go. You would be in charge of that and EC. You are already going to be "in charge" of the EC we just dont know whether to give you mod powers. but pretty much your only duties would be making sure the posts inside the EC folder belongs there and if not put it in its rightful place. Your powers are Locking Threads, Removing Threads, Stickies, and making a Thread an announcement. Theres also a bump function. A postless way to get a thread to the top of the section none of this is prolly new to you. Thats all there really is to being a mod. Any questions?
Robertm
What About editing posts if I decide to be a permanent mod?
Soundslikematt
Where the modify button on all of your posts are there is one on everyones posts when your a mod. Pretty much you aren't allowed to use that unless the post is only spam and then you can do what LoH does on occasion and change it to "I have nothing good to say at this time" or whatever he changes it to
Robertm
What about Mini-Replys like Aqua does? are those okay?
Soundslikematt
sure I guess you could do that but theres nothing against just replying
Robertm
No use in cluttering up a thread just to make a minor correction.
If someone really fucks up I will reply. If they get one or two numbers off I will fix it for them and say
~|Fixed xxx and yyy|~
Lord of Hordes
That would probably be the best way....BUT. I don't want anyone else besides RobertM doing comparisons. Other members can ask for comparisons, and Robert will do it for them. The reason why is that alot of people will use different formats and layouts, and I'd like to keep it organized and uniform. Even if someone thinks they know a good comparison between two items, I'd rather have them ask Robert to post it first, and then they can discuss the details in the thread.
Also, I think I might know a way to make Robert a mod over the EC without changing his forum rank...I'll need to test it out, first though, to make sure. Don't get your hopes up.
RobertM
Isn't part of the fun comparing your numbers to other peoples?
I think that comparisons should be open to everyone. It helps increase the accuracy of the figures.
If two different people have two different results, they can both re-check their numbers and fix them
As far as a format, its pretty simple. Arrange the items in order of highest damage, and put the average damage next to it.
Include theese builds:
Warrior, 200 str/dex/luck
Mage, 200 int/dex/luck
Hybred, 200 int/dex/str
Make the monster have 45 total defence. (32 defence and 100 luck and 75 dex is how I do it).
