lmao, I checked out the boxes in the Guardian Tower...after a look through, I just clicked on "exit", and it took me back to Nimrod, and he said "You have made an excellent choice!" lmao, I think it's a sign that this year won't be as good as last.

Upon closer investigation, I might be jumping to conclusions. I checked the 'pedia and compared last year's Guardian Gift boxes with this year's. I'm only going to compare the lowest level and the highest level melee/ranged weapons....here's what I found: 2006 Guardian Gift Boxes / SkyscorchersLevel: 10 Element: Fire/Energy Attack Type: Melee/Ranged Damage: 4-12 / 1-21 BTH: 3% / 7% Special: none / Hits: 1, Energy, Ranged, 130% base and random, +7bth, 30% rate with stat bonuses Level: 90 / 90 Element: Fire / Energy Attack Type: Melee / Ranged Damage: 9-25 / 5-33 BTH: 11% / 15% SPECIAL None. / Hits: 1, Energy, Ranged, 570% base, 550% random, +30bth, 10% rate with stat bonuses. _____________________________________________ 2007 Guardian Gift BoxesLevel 5 Type: Melee/Ranged/Magic Element: Fire/Energy/Light Damage: 2-10 / 2-7 / 1-8 Level 90 Type: Melee/Ranged/Magic Element: Fire/Energy/Light Damage: 7-29 / 8-30 / 6-27 _____________________________________________ So, as you can see, the Boxes themselves are being done a little different this time, but they seem to be slightly better, except for the Magic version. Last year's Magic Box was equivalent to the Melee box, except the Magic Skyscorcher had a 10% bth instead of a 15% like the ranged. This year's contents are still unknown, but if they are anything like last year's, then I'd suggest buying the one which would benefit you most (higher STR - go with the melee box/ higher INT - go with Magic/ higher DEX - go with Ranged. If you are a hybrid, and have all of those stats nearly equal, just get the one with element you like or need the most). My lvl 90 Ranged Skyscorcher fram last year is so awesome. It does Ranged damage, but it works like a melee weapon, which means you don't lose any of your armor's attacks....most ranged weapons have a special rate of 100%, so wearing a multi-hit armor doesn't work with them. This weapon turned Sneaks into cake, and this is by far my favorite weapon in my arsenal. If you are anything like me, though, then you are feeling that the contents of the boxes are not going to be worth 180,000 gold, and already have an awesome weapon inventory.
