But it's not original, all the other forums I go to (and am not banned on) let you do that.
But still, it's awesome. I admire it because it has 100+ members when it's banned from the AE forums.

The avatar upload screen is actually rather boring. It's just a dialogue box that lets you browse to a file location and click "upload". Nothing special.
I actually like forums that let everyone load a custom avatar; I pick out people more by avatar then by name on most of the forums I'm on. Unfortunately, the AE forums don't let you link to the URL of an avatar being hosted elsewhere (like this forum does), so custom avatars have to be uploaded to the AE servers. And a custom avatar for 75,000+ accounts is a substantial chunk of resource space... which is why they're not available to everyone.

I was going to post in forum issues about letting people link to avatars instead of uploading them...
