They would have been sued if they had kept it. Apparently, the Crikeydile was taken from the suggestions board. The person who suggested it, didn't use their own artwork, just found an image somewhere online. The owner of the copyrighted image contacted AE (actually posted a thread) and said they would sue if AE didn't remove their Crikeydile from the game. So, we ended up with a crappy re-drawn version of it.

They stole my Pit Fighter. It was originally my suggestion to make a shop in The Pit, where you could buy stuff. Pit Fighter was an armor. They took the name and made it a DF Weapon! And gave me no credit!  "It's clobberin' time!"  |

JARTIX: That idea is in NO WAY related to DF. Why would they steal the NAME of an ARMOR in AQ and turn it into a WEAPON in DF?
Get over yourself. They did not steal it. Its a very generic name.
