Yeah I had a feeling that epheel was it. Perhaps the ribbers are what was left after the devourer came the first time. Therefore he did do that to him!

Ummm...Epheel is not the Devourer's Agent. Do the final Epic Quest. Epheel is trying to help, but he has to do things carefully, because he doesn't want to take sides with good or evil...he has to be neutral, because the Devourer could care less if you're evil or good, he's gonna pwn you anyways. When you are neutral, you develop enemies on both sides. The good people will say you're evil, and the evil people will say you are "not evil". He has to stay neutral because he needs to find the most powerful creature on the planet to fight the agent. Nightbane was going to be his choice. I really think the Huntress is the agent. It is said that the agent will arrive before the Devourer....and she did. Why do you think the eternal was allowed to live? Because he is her father. She sold her soul to the devourer in order to attain eternal life for herself and her father. Why was Epheel allowed to live? Because he is somehow related to The Huntress and The Eternal perhaps...I don't really know. It just makes more sense that Epheel is trying to help, and the Huntress is up to no good. She's the one lying. Never trust a bitch! Especially one that comes from out of nowhere. Believe me, the game is going to get interesting when we finally catch up with her, and she pretends to befriend us...then she turns her back on us right at the last minute. Betrayal is one of the best storyline plots of all time, and I wouldn't put it past AQ to use it. Remember how freaked out everyone got about Aquella and the Sea Fiend? Remember how freaked out everyone got about that Dragonslayer guy who betrayed Galanoth? I believe Epheel will be our guide, and the Huntress is the agent. During the war, the Huntress will probably kill Epheel. And if that happens, you will know for SURE that she is the agent.
Do the Epic Quest again, and read all the dialogue carefully...then go and watch all the new cutscenes they released the other day. It'll start making sense.

But so far all we have is Epheel's word. He says shes the agent, he says that he's not the agent, he says he's trying to help, he says that she's trying to destroy the weapons. All she's said is that she has to get the weapons before her enemies do which could be us or could be the agent. Thats not taking away the whole betrayal portion. We could also be betrayed by Epheel. He could also be alive from last time because he is working for the devourer too. The Agent comes before the devourer, that could be anyone because we all came before the devourer. You could be the agent LoH! ARE YOU!!!!!!!! I came before the devourer, Yulgar, Warlic, Artix, Capt., Everyone did. Epheel, the huntress , Nightbane, and Wolfwing... everyone came before. They didn't specify how much earlier the agent would come. The agent could have been here for years and years before he surfaced and attacked. Akriloth could be the agent! Hell even Twig could be the agent. I think its anyones game still and Im excited to see how this plays out.

@ RobertM:
Oh...so, you think he would say "TRUST EPHEEL!" if it were true? He's just role-playing, dude. Nobody in the game is going to trust Epheel, because it would ruin the story if they said he is a good guy....which he is not...he is neutral....neither good nor evil. He makes enemies on both sides. And his appearance hides his true form, which is a human mage. He was transformed into that appearance so it would make it difficult for him to make friends with the "good guys". I trust Epheel, and I hope they make it to where you can either "Trust him", or "fight him", and if you trust him, you get something cool for choosing correctly...if you choose to fight him, you get your ass handed to you by a 1000-year-old mage in a hideous spider form....or vice-versa. I'll eat my words if I'm wrong.

If you were The'Galin, and you were needing an agent of destruction to precede you, and fool everyone into trusting him/her....which would you choose? A hideous spider-thing? Or a beautiful young woman? I think I would choose to use a beautiful young woman to decieve everyone.....someone who "looks" trustworthy. You're falling for the trick...don't be so naive.
